"Towards Just and Inclusive Communities: Communication for Life, Enablement and Growth" Dates: April 8 - 10, 2016 Venue: CSI Synod, Chennai. 42 participants and communication leaders from various NCCI member bodies: Board of Theological Education of Senate of Serampore College, Church of South India, Church of North India, Marthoma Church, Bible Society of India, The Salvation Army, Lott Carey Baptish MIssion, India Peace Centre, Christian Literature Society, Inter-Church Service Association, Student Christian Movement of India, Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church, Andhra Pradesh Council of Churches, Chattisgarh Council of Churches, Arcot Lutheran Church, National Missionary Society of India, Kerala Council of Churches, NCCI Urban Rural Mission as well as from Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Leonard Theological College, Anna University, Karnataka Christian Educational Society, Madras Christian College.
NCCI Interfaith Pre-assembly began @ HMI, Hyderabad. 40 clerics, theologians, scholars, practitioners and comrades from Baha'i, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity, Dalit, Tribal, Adivasi, Dravidian, Marxist and Rationalist backgrounds from all over Inda. Dr. Zafar Mahmood delivered the challenging keynote. Dr. Mrs. Ramindar Kaur, Dr. Yugal Rayalu, Ven. Bikku, Dhammabala, Dr. Mamatha Raghuveer, Rev. Dr. Swamiraju, Ms. Neha, Ms. Eather Ao, Dr. Vikas Jabulkar were among the other speakers. Turned into one of the productive and action oriented outcome. Henry Martyn Institute, Interfaith Coalition for Peace, India Peace Centre, Christian Service Agency joined the NCCI - Commission on Unity, Mission and Evangelism in organising this Pre-assembly.
